Terrible Experience!

Although the staff at the property site are courteous and the food is decent, there is no other positive that can be said for this excuse of a "resort". We were greeted by rooms that smelt of mould, filthy bathrooms that looked like they hadn't been washed in years, broken exhaust fans, broken TVs, peeling wallpapers, moist towels and bedcovers, garbage strewn at the entrance to the building, rusty door locks that get jammed at every turn (I was locked into my room for 30 minutes the next morning) and the list goes on! Their website promises you "well-decorated and furnished rooms", "a swimming pool with crystal clear water", "indoor and outdoor games facility, health spa, steam bath, sauna, Jacuzzi & yoga, etc.", however most of these facilities either do no exist or are in such a pathetic condition, that it is beyond use. Filth, dust and neglect are good words to describe the place, making it an absolute nightmare for my family. Upon highlighting these issues to Ms. Niveditha (who handles bookings from the Bangalore office), she assured us she would look into it, if we shared pictures and a review on Whatsapp to substantiate. We immediately did the same and told her we were not comfortable in paying the balance for the services being provided. However, she was unhelpful and arrogant and kept insisting that we had to pay most of the bill for the second day as well. Later, when I asked if I could speak to her senior management, she replied 3 hours later saying her "manager was on leave". We were asked to checkout from the property shortly afterward! Ms. Niveditha did not even have the decency to connect with my father directly and convey the same. Instead, she sent across someone on the property to tell us that "we have called and TROUBLED her multiple times during the day because we are unhappy and that we can checkout after tea." They gave us a measly refund and we left shortly after. Even at the time of checkout, my father was asked to pay for the drinking water bottles that we used! We refused on the basis that none of this was mentioned to us at the time of booking. I am attaching pictures of the property and so called facilities here. If you want to save yourself a nightmare and dealing with this rude, unprofessional lady, please do not go here. I have never had the misfortune of dealing with a place that kicks you out if you highlight an issue in the services being provided. This place is a waste of time, effort and money.

No food is available, forced to eat from whatever they say can be served, no tea coffee option in the room. Breakfast is served at 9.30 am and that too when you ask for it. Hot water option not available, bathrooms run out of water and you have to call the staff in the morning . all food bills were manual and gst was charged at 18% . Still don't understand why they charge so much . hotel stay bills could not be printed and were not sent

Such a pathetic place. Totally waste of money and time. Hospitality sucks. Dirty rooms, no words for bathroom (full of ants) .Would never recommend to anyone. We reached by 9pm and dinner was not available. In morning server denied for tea. Whatever facilities were promised during booking was a lie.

A Place One Should Never Visit - Sorry Story.

We were a group of 5 adults and 3 children who went to this place on 12 May 2019. It was for the birthday celebration of my son. Remembering a time around 10 years back when my wife's corporate office decided to celebrate its 10th year anniversary with pomp and gaiety, and had invited spouses and children along to this very venue, I was under the impression that Hill View Resorts still held that aura and hospitality around it. However, what we saw shocked all of us!! For starters, the receptionist at the entrance did her best sales pitch by telling us that a day out in the resort will cost around INR 700 which included a buffet, use of swimming pool and rain dance. After a little back of the envelope calculation, we decided to pay that amount since we did not want to disappoint our kids. But, the real horror starts here; the swimming pool must be seen to be believed (no hygiene, unclean water, no life guards, stinking changing rooms and to top it all, naked electric wires dangling around inviting trouble. Thereafter, we went to the dining hall for the buffet. And guess what, we see the entire concept of buffet turned on its head. All the vessels in which food was kept were open thereby attracting houseflies. Crockery and cutlery were of the dirtiest kind. No soul in the hall from the management side to oversee the service. Hold your breath; here comes the best part...we could see a couple of dogs roaming freely in the kitchen. Probably even they did not like the fare and hence were lounging around to gather some smell. Concurrently a couple of us went to bar that is on the other side of the property. Presto, what do you see here. An ambience which will put any second world war site to shame. Rusting tables/chairs, cobwebbed toilets, a bar counter that has not faced a cleaning cloth for decades. And to top it all, the barman was missing. We had to hunt him down from somewhere after an half hour wait only to hear from him that "sorry sir, we have run out of Beer, would you like to have any hot drink". "My dear gentle man, we are here to quench our thirst with a couple of Beers and you do not have it"? That was when tempers rose and we barged into the reception to confront the "ever so sweet talking receptionist" on why we were being cold shouldered to no ends. Upon telling her that we will file a court case in the consumer court as also spread the good word on this most haunted place, she hurriedly calls the barman and the pantry to check and verify our statements. At that point when all of us lost our cool, she understood that her drama in disguise will put her into more trouble and finally returned our money (of course after deducting for the kids food plates). Oh! we did not stay back for the rain dance since we had literally rained our "piece of mind" on everyone around for the utter disastrous service. Therefore, anyone who reads this, please take it seriously instead of approximating that reviews are always (50-50). All those good reviews you see were people who came on corporate expense cards. Did I forget to mention that you don't even get a room to use the rest room facilities in spite of having kids and ladies around. You need to shell out 2500+ INR even for a few hours. Last but not the least, you have a bunch of security guards who are trained not to let people outside the "fortress" (the gate is that big), without ensuring it the most crudest way whether you have paid your fat bills. A graveyard may be a better place given that you get some eternal peace.
